Looking for a decent set of speakers. Nothing too expensive. Possibly some logitech ones or something... My buddy has a set of them that he can use a scroll wheel to literally instantly switch from his headset to his speakers, which would be nice but I'm not sure if it's possible because his was an audio jack headset and mines USB.

i have my headset hooked up to a corsair headset stand (allows audio and mic pass through) and the speakers through the back audio port on the motherboard, which allows me to then switch through the speaker settings inside of windows

the speakers i have are a bit of a Frankenstein setup as i have the Logitech bass, the centre speaker and 2 Logitech front speakers with 2 rear speakers from my old system as they fit inside of the desk really nicely, personally i would go a Logitech system, the sub and front speakers are from the Z503 which even paired with the weak surround speakers i have offer a nice audio experience. though i do hope to move to the Z906 as i will be getting a TV and want a more room filled sound rather than the computer corner setup that i have currently. these are both 5:1 speakers which i would personally suggest you go for cause even the weak speakers when strategically placed will offer some proception of where you and others are inside of a game world

that would give you better sound per speaker (from my understanding) and would be a worthy price to pay being 1/3 off and reaching the same price as the 506's but still personally i wouldn't buy it due to the lack of a centre speaker (after using my dodgy speakers to then using the 506 with the centre speaker i wouldn't personally go back. though that is mainly due to my desk being a corner desk and the speaker is in between my monitors where the two front ones are on the outside. the centre on just makes the setup "heavenly" compared to what it was before)

if you have a straight wall desk you probably wont notice much of a difference between having and not having the centre speaker and assuming that you are not an audiophile (as you are looking at "these speakers" {everyone seems to complain about audio quality but i think it's great} i would go with the 2:1 setup but if you are using a corner desk with dual monitors you may see the extra benefit with a centre speaker that is low profile and fits under the monitors)

I'm looking to not exactly break the budget. Maybe around $100. I'm moving into a new place soon and the desk that is furnished is a straight one, up against a wall. Also yes, I'll be rocking a dual monitor setup.

If you have suggestions for speakers post some Amazon links or Newegg please

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1CZ1G98708&cm_re=z506-_-36-121-044-_-Product - this is the 506's that work great with a dual setup as when 2 monitors are added the side speakers are generally effected due to how separate they are, due to this personally i think the centre speaker offers a little bit more clarity. even the surround speakers could be placed down on the ground beside the table (or not connected at all) "they don't have to be behind to work "properly" shown in my setup pictured" the sub is under the table

Yeah I can basically drive 2 miles to BestBuy and grab them, but let me tell you... If I was home from college, I'd have to drive probably 2-3 hours to get anything remotely electronic lol
