Replaced my MSI z270 motherboard with an ASUS Rog z270E. Everything works on it but I cannot get the ethernet to work. I checked that it was enabled in bios, I installed all drivers from the asus website and cannot get it to find my ethernet cable. The light wont light up showing it is there, but the built in wifi works. Please help

Can you confirm the cable is connected at the other end? How big is the run? Try switching its port on the router side & reversing the cable if you can. (Put the end at the router at the system and the system end at the router)

sounds like the port is dead. Try moving it around and see if it maybe it a bad port.

Yes, it is plugged in. It worked on the old motherboard. Tried flipping and switching ports

^ That. Might need to contact the Mobo manufacture for a solution/possible RMA.

I strongly advise against putting 7$ unnamed components into a many hundred dollar motherboard, but that's my personal opinion.

This one is 12$ and is made by TP-Link

Try reinstalling Network Drivers again, or a PCIe ethernet solution.

This as well, try reinstalling the network drivers and make sure they are for your MB Revision and BIOS Version.
