Laptop UnderVolting - [Help]

Hey,

So, Ive been messing around with undervolting my New laptop, testing some things while using ThottleStop.

And was told to check to see if I'm getting the full boost clock speeds.

The CPU in the Laptop is the: i7-8750h.

I don't really need the crazy top speeds that the laptop produces, due to I'm never doing anything that is that CPU instinctive, I do however play games on it, It has a 1050ti, But I also dont play any crazy AAA Titles on it, or if I do I lock it at 60fps with Low/Med settings,  I dont mind having lower graphics also keeps the fan notice down a noticeable amount.

But my current Undervolt is -140mV on both the Core / Cache.. But while doing a Cinibench Test the max I was seing was 3.9 GHz on the Speed, Is that a problem?

Nah, it's fine. Your CPU has a base clock of 2.2Ghz with a turbo up to 4.1Ghz. Since you undervolted it only boosted up to 3.9. Further decreasing voltage may yield even less turbo clock. Or... you could (im hating myself for suggesting this) disable turbo boost in BIOS. Your PC will get only up to 2.2Ghz which is not ideal for gaming, but since your concern is more on the noise part then you may find the trade off more apealing than me for sure.

Cheers!

ps: there is no risk involved in disabling turbo boost, it can be re enabled in the same way.
