If you cant find it, I honestly would not worry about it.  There is no code associated with it and it can't do anything on your computer.

No I need to delete it cos the protocol is messed up and is not opening games properly

You need to clear out browser settings, re-install your browser, then re-install steam.  You have a browser problem, not a Steam problem.

If you cant find it don't worry about it.  There is no Steam/Valve programming associated with it, and it can't do anything if it points to an non-existent executable.
