Need help with my GPU

Hello, a couple of days ago I was playing with my PC and suddenly turned off, after that the PC rebooted and some horizontal lines of colors appeared in different places on the screen, then when the Windows logo appears the screen fills up with horizontal white stripes and then the screen goes black and the PC reboots.
The PC allows me to enter the BIOS either by unpluging the gpu and using the intel graphics or using the Safe mode.
Also if I unplug the gpu I can use the pc without any problem.
I have Windows 10 and my GPU is a Nvidia GTX 980 ti FTW.
Does anyone know what is due or a possible solution?

From the sounds of it, either one/few of the VRAM chips on your GTX 980 Ti is dying, or the GPU as a whole is beginning to fail.

 

Continue to test with just using the iGPU for another day or two, and see if the horizontal lines re-appear.

Also, getting hold of another video card (even a temporary one) to see if the same problem comes up will give you a pretty clear answer.
