GPU

4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970 (UPGRADING TO 1070ti)

You're kind of at the high end of the z97 chipset, imo. But if you went to the next gen you would obviously have to get new mobo, ram and CPU.

The GPU should do you for a while longer as long as you want to stay in 1080p/1440p range.

You could also look into a 144hz montior for those games.

Only suggestions though.

Budget/Country?

Why on earth would you buy near $250 1080p panels in the year of our lord gaben 2018?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I'm in the United Kingdom and my budget £250 each max for two screens. I've just used them in the past at work and wanted something which is has an IPS panel

Budget for everything, you should just pick up a 4k IPS display at this point, buy a 2nd one at a later date.

Add an ssd, the largest one affordable. Crucial MX500, Samsung 870 Evo are good brands.

If the psu is being upgraded get a SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 650 Gold (check pricing on the 750W model, often it is only a few pounds more) or a Corsair RM650x.

If you can, wait to the end of August, early September. Nvidia is expected to drop some new gpu around that time.

I'd suggest a single, higher res monitor.

Not sure upgrading memory is worth the cost. I'd hold off on that until the need is established. My reasoning is that unlike the other upgrades DDR3 cannot be used in a new build..

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
