tips before overclocking my processor?

I really dont want to burn anything lol is there anything i should be aware of before overclocking my PC?

here are the specs : 

CPU: AMD FX8350 8 CORE 4 GHZ

Ram: 8 GB ddr3

GPU: msi 1060 3GB Vran GeForce

Storage : 2 tb wd green hdd

120 gb ssd

power supply 600 w bronze EVGA

Be very careful about temperatures, those FX chips ran really hot.

 

Also be wary of your power supply, as it's not the best quality.

Monitor the temps, FX's can get toasty. Also, never leave the voltage on auto.

Yea honesty, my 1100T is overclocked to 4.0GHz and it gets on par with an Ivy Bridge mobile chip in Cinebench.
