I have this strange issue that happens to my PC in cooler temperatures. I do not use air conditioning in my home. So, my office temperature may be start in the 40°F in the winter time (Before my space heater warms things up to the mid 50s to 60s. Then in the summer time my office might get in the 90s. My pc is fine in the warmer temperatures. It locks up and freezes completely when I first turn it on when it is cooler. During the winter time I can expect it almost every day. I have my PC set to boot about 20 minutes before I needed it to so it warms up. This helps, sometimes. But I may have to force restart it a couple times in the morning as it locks up. It is really acting like it needs to warm up like an old car.

Now a more recent development is that it has started again in the summer time. After a heat wave that had temps in my office in the high 80s. Some unseasonable cool weather gives me on office in the 60s where the issue has cropped up again.

What are some theories or ideas you may have that would be causing it? My top theory is the powersupply. Perhaps my swinging temperatures are messing with it causing it to delver low voltage until it warms up.

What components do you have, if you think it is temperature related trying using a temperature monitor like speccy to see what exactly is having weird thermals. Another thing to is to make sure that you don't have any os updates as well as that your drivers are up to date. My cousin had an issue where after gaming for about 20 mins his computer would get to hot and shutoff, turned out it was problem with the fan controller on his gpu that ended up being fixed in a driver update. Lastly you could also double check that your bios is up to date, other than that I don't have much else without knowing the parts list, although you could always try the go to clear the cmos and hope that does it.
