I'm kind of in a pickle. I have about 1200 dollars to implement  some new components for my system. I'm pushing towards installing a custom loop. When I first built my system in February, I was just beginning my interest in computer hardware, and if I could build all over again I would make more wise decisions regarding certain components.

I want to cool my CPU, GPU's, and maybe RAM (if I can get the heat spreaders off)...

The problem is I have 2 GTX 680 4gb FTW and I have only been able to find 1 full cover block, it's by EK. I've read lots of complaints regarding this companies products regarding nickle

Now I feel to invest 200+ dollars on waterblocks for a card that isn't overclock friendly like DirectCU II is a tough decision, seeing as were not talking about a 780 here, the card will soon be replaced and I'll have 2 worthless blocks of nickle.

Do I sell the 680s and get one 780ti and water cool that? With plans to buy another later?

I have to money to build a premium loop now, but wont down the road so I want to set myself in the right direction, any thoughts? If you want to through out any of your preferred products for me to check out, I'm trying to piece it together by the end of the week. I have up to 1200 dollars to spend for cooling and adjustments. Thanks

....also I have a HX850, will I need a new PSU?

Sell your 680s and get a 780ti. That power supply will also be enough.

Ebay is the first thing that comes to mind. 3GB is enough for 1440p, don't worry about that. My 780s are 3GB and I play on a 1440p monitor too.
