Hey everyone, I am hoping to get some advice on upgrading the memory on my desktop. It currently sports a measly 8gb of RAM. Specifically two sticks of Crucial Ballistix Sport XT BLS4G3D18ADS3. I'd like to upgrade to 16gb, preferably by just adding another 8gb. So, here's my question, can I just add another pair of 4gb sticks? I've tried looking for the same ram already in the system with no luck. Will I be required to replace my ram all together?

I would recommend just buying as similar as you can to your current kit if you can't match it exactly. Then hopefully your motherboard will set all the timings the same for you when you select the XMP profile of the slowest kit.

Also is this your kit?
