Mic issues

Hey guys, I've been having trouble with my microphone. I have a turtle beach headset meant for Xbox one and ordered a splitter and an extension cable off of Amazon, I know the mic works cause when I have my headset plugged in my laptop discord work like a charm but when I plug it in my PC I just get sound and nothing from my mic even though it says my mic is "working" according to windows sound recorder and troubleshooter. I have the audio cable plugged in the green socket and the mic in the pink one. Could you guys be of any help?

Are your levels under device properties turned up?

Control Panel > Hardware And Sound > Sound > Recording > Properties (right click) > Levels:
