Hi!

Last year i bought my PC and now im looking to upgrade it piece by piece. I'm not that familiar with building computers so i need help!

I play alot of FPS games such as CSGO, PUBG, Fortnite, Overwatch and WoW occasionally and usually aim to play at high fps with low settings. So basically i just want to increase my framerate and reduce the dips below 144fps.

I was wondering in what order i should start upgrading the pieces and with what parts? Should i change to a Ryzen 7 if i plan on streaming my games occasionally aswell?

Please excuse my stupidity as i really am not familiar with this stuff AT ALL. :)

My specs are:

Case: Bitfenix comrade

GPU: Radeon rx 480 8gb

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 quad core

RAM: 16gb

Fan: 2x bitfenix spectre 120mm

Memory: 476gb ssd i believe

It's a pretty modern PC to me, it looks fine as is! :) You'd feel the most performance jump from going from your RX 480 to an RX 580.

An OC 480 will feel the same as the 580 as they are the same chip.

Depending on the budget there is no real upgrade id recommend. Id wait untill next year before touching anything. New Nvidia GPUs will have settled in price and new Ryzen 3000 series will offer a more compelling upgrade

Then again: this is mostly down to how much you have to spend on this upgrade
