RAM Issue (Solved)

So I just put together a new system with 16 GB of Memory. It seems to recognize it all, but half of it is saying it's being held in reserve for "use by the BIOS and some drivers for other peripherals"

Is that normal or have I done something wrong?

Is the ram in dual channel (same color slots)? Also, what happens when you boot with only one dimm?

So this was actually an easy fix. I had them in the two matching slots nearest the processor chipshet, just had to move them to the two farthest matching slots.

yup, that's what i thought would work.
