Hello, after years of going to my friends house to play game i decided to build my first PC i never once in my life play game on max setting and enjoy the graphic so  if there are anthing wrong with this build please let me know thank you. my budget is 1000£ but i might squeese to 1100 i already have a 120GB SSD.    https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/3Zvn8Y

one last thing i don't quit understand what bottleneck means. but at  my friends house we get alot of screen tearing hope this build will prevent that.

this looks like quite a solid build, and if you want to further the black and red look, might want to consider g.skill aegis.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

A small 120GB or 240GB SSD for your boot drive and install your game library on the HDD.

Then create a backup image of your boot drive on the HDD after all programs are installed.

Ahh that part i can skip, i will get my friend SSD so i can save a bit from that. thank you tho for reminding me.

The bottleneck is just the part that holds back the rest of the system. So if the GPU is at a 100% load while the CPU is at a 10% load, the GPU is the bottleneck. In general, don't worry about the bottleneck. Just get parts that are considered to go well together, and you're fine.

To avoid screen tearing, either enable V-sync or get a monitor that supports G-sync (for an AMD GPU, get A Freesync monitor).

I changed some parts. The main thing is the 1070 Ti instead of the 1080. The 1070 Ti has 5% lower performance, but costs £50 less. Do feel free to ask about the parts.

Okay, so I'm not a fan of RGB. So if you get RGB fans, get some nice ones. The Corsair ML Pro is a good fan, and there is an LED and an RGB version of it.

If you decide to get custom cables, either get extensions for the Formula (the PSU shroud will help hide excess cables) or get the Whisper M 450W, RM550x or Straight Power 11 450W or 550W. The Whisper M and the RMx have intercompatible cables, the Straight Power 11 might be harder to find custom cables for.

The similarly priced G3 is much louder than any of the others and has issues with its protections. The Focus Plus Gold is louder than the others, but is a decent alternative.

No problem.

There's no need to close the post. If others want to contribute, they can't do that if the post is closed. If you absolutely want to close it, you can report it, and say that you want it closed. A moderator can do it

So made some changes as well. Switched to a higher performance cooler that costs less, and fit in a z370 board that gives the possibility of eventually moving to an overclockable processor for you, and switched in a 1070 TI for most of the same reasons. Decreased cost slightly from the other list as well.

The pair of included fans will do you quite nicely. However if you'd like to snag more fans than the case includes then picking up 1 to 3 of these might do you nicely depending on if you desire a full compliment of them or if you just desire to fill in your fan profile more. The motherboard comes with a total of 3 possible chassis fan headers so unless you acquire a splitter for a pair of fans 3 will be your limit.

Corsair AF120 Quiet Fans - cost ~$12 each
