I've been using my 1050ti for gaming on my 1080p monitor at high-ultra (mostly r6 seige) for the longest time and recently I bought a 4k monitor and have had an oculus rift (rift games usually run at low), and I want a new GPU to run everything at playable fps that's not a 1080ti (too expensive). I've been split between 1060 6gb, 1070, and 1070ti, what will provide the most value/fps in both games and VR?

For 4k you need at least the GTX 1080TI for playable framerates, the GTX 1080 is the bare minimum for 4k if you drop the settings down. Or you could wait for the GTX 1100 series next month. If I remember the GTX 1070Ti has a slightly slower memory bandwidth, but I think it might be possible for 4k and VR.

From what I have read you can get the GTX 1070TI and still be able to run 4k at 60fps, but you will have to play with the settings to get a steady fps.

I to have an Oculus Rift and I have a GTX 1060 3GB and I have absolutely no issues (granted my current CPU lacks in power (6300 6-Core)) but the 1060 can keep up just fine. I however don't know alot about 4k.

My current build has a ryzen 1600 16gb ddr4 and a 1050ti, vr is def playable at low but i guess anything up from here will provide better fps and graphics capabilities. right?

What if I dropped my resolution settings in-game, would that fix the fps or stay the same because the actual physical monitor is still 4k. I don't mind playing at 1440p if it fixes fps.

Well, my current build has an AMD 6300 6-Core CPU with 16GB of DDR3 1600 RAM and the GTX 1060 3GB GPU and I can handle Robo Recall flawlessly, so I would imagine stepping up wouldn't hurt. The better the card, the better the performance. Anything is better than my GT 420 I used to run. haha

You can play in 4k with the GTX 1070TI from what I've read, but you can't run like super high settings. Here, look at these benchmarks: https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3109-nvidia-gtx-1070-ti-review-strategic-play-ft-colorful/page-2

lmao robo recall has lots and lots of frame drops even at low currently but at least beat saber works well lmao
