okay so lets say i have a case , that has no physical reset button on front IO

what would be my options to hard reset pc incase it crashes or freezes somehow (any methods without actually hitting jumpers on mobo with a screwdriver)

if there is no way , then would it be safe to hold power button for what like 8 seconds so it would turn off , is it same as hard restart ?

Holding the power button for a couple seconds until power off is pretty much the same as pressing the reset button. The only differences are that: it's not instantaneous (not a real concern, I'd say), it doesn't turn the PC back on (again, I wouldn't bother) and that the motherboard turns off completely before turning on when you actually push the power button again. Now, this last thing probably won't matter to most people, but if you're testing a pretty intense overvoltage of the CPU, it might be bad for the components (CPU especially) because it will get a VCCIN spike whenever you power back on the motherboard. If you're not overclocking / overvolting / playing with the VRM settings in the BIOS, you shouldn't really bother

yeah i figured as much and i wont be overclocking.

saw the video of jays where he explained how he fried his cpu /board with his over voltage

Yeah, to be honest in that video I noticed way too many rookie mistakes he'd done that surprised me a lot: first of all, that air cooler for a 120W TDP CPU was soooo overrated; and he also overclocked it, which was insane. Also, it surprised me he didn't know that AMD FX CPUs show a package temperature that's 20-30C lower than the eactua one, so when he thought he was running at 60C he was actually running at 90C if not 100C (temperature of throttling, if it was even a thing at the time for AMD)... So yeah, that is a really bad example of how to overclock a CPU, and still, with modern processors and motherboards is almost impossible to kill a CPU, I guarantee. I do recommend overclocking in as much cases as possible, but that's up to you of course ;)

i dont feel like messing with any settings, even though i do know how , i just don't feel the need for it (also locked non k chip from intel wont give much)

still kinda iffy about the turbo / overclock mb setting that everyone got so worked up not so log ago , i think i got most of it but will have to look more into it

With a locked chip I don't even think you can change the multiplier, but you could still try undervolt it to get a lower power consumption and better thermals with zero impact on performance and absolute safety for the components
