Audio Troubles

My google-fu has failed me.

I just got my new computer, played with all my settings, got everything up and running.... EXCEPT I can't desync my speakers from my headset. In realtek hd audio, I selected "Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously," but now it just plays on both my headset and my speakers. What I'm trying to get it to do is all audio except voice chat out the speakers and only just discord coming over the headset. Device manager also seems to be lumping my speakers and headset into one. Unplugging either of them wont remove it, only unplugging both removes it. I had it up and running on my old rig no problem, but can't seem to replicate it here.

EDIT: Discord is only outputting voice chat through the headset (as I wanted) but it still plays all other audio through the headset at the same time (and out my speakers).

EDIT2: Aaaaaaaaand without changing my settings at all and restarting, it now plays voice over speakers too.
