Cheap Gpu help.

Go to solution Solved by GoldenLag,

DO NOT BUY SKYLAKE X

that mobo also isnt compatible.

Get an 8400 with B360 or 1600/2600x with B350/450

For 200$ you will have tk buy used to get decent performance. An R9 290x should offer you good performance for less than 200$ (130$)

If you want to buy new you should stretch to 250$ to get an Rx 580 8GB or GTX 1060 6GB. Whichever is cheapest

This build ( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ ) is way better for price/performance, and it costs more or less the same as your build with a gpu.

Still, you cannot use VR, since you would have to spend more.

You can also upgrade with a GPU in the future, but for budget gaming, this APU is great, especially because you can also overclock, which gives you basically free performance.

The 2700x is Not and APU part

That build also isnt that great value

nvm, that there is the wrong link.

What is your budget for your build?

What are you planning to do with the PC? (Gaming, streaming, editing, etc)

What monitor do you have or are planning to get?

Hello, I was wondering what god I could get for around $100 that could game, if that isn’t possible than something around $200. I also haven’t a clue as to what vr headset I should get, I’m looking for cheap as possible but anything helps. Thanks. Posted with this comment is a list of what I’ll be trying to build.

It's the Ryzen 5 2400g, not the 2700x...which is an APU, and for the price is great, since you don't have to spend 250 bucks for a decent GPU, it keeps the price very low. And if you really want to upgrade, you can do so with a 1600 6gb/580 without bottlenecking.

A few suggestions from me.

  • If your budget for gpu is around $200 that psu is overkill. If there's cheaper options with watts around 500w you should consider it.
  • That processor is not good price/performance wise just use a regular i5.
  • You need ssd.
  • Try getting at least a gtx 1050ti. Preferably a gtx 1060.

Mine says 2400g, but whatever.

You are supposed to send the generated link and not the one in the address line

The link should look like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/B9k229

Edit: on his side its just a blank pcpartpicker list

@George294 what is you budget?

PSU is rubbish, mobo and CPU are outdated and incompatible, you can find cheaper ram as a kit or a single stick. what's your budget for the rig?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
