Roast My Build

AirSocial

So this is my first PC. I am 15 years old and don't have a job. I've been saving for around a year now for just what I have. I'm planning to get a GPU later on. Here are the pictures. So first things wrong is The colors. I have a RGB strip set on lowest brightness of blue for like a mood theme. I have a red fan that came with my case and a JetFlo 120 Blue Led fan in the back. My end goal is to get the Blue Fans all around.  I will also get custom cables (Again its hard to get money) that would be black and blue for my GPU and my Motherboard. Gpu end goal would be a 1060 or something better. Also I am looking to upgrade from 8 Gigabytes of ram to 16 in the beginning of next year. Tell me hat you think so far and how you think it will turn out. Also let me know what you see wrong and what I should fix

I mean, the only things I see really "wrong" about this build is the mATX board in an ATX tower and lack of dGPU.

I like the red intake and blue exhaust, I've actually got the reversed version of that in my rig.

When I bought it didn't know about the different sizes. So I just bought something that supported the 8th gen Intel and which had 4 ram slots. (For Upgrade Later Down The Road) I under stand it A LOT more now. I would say that probably makes it look bad the most. Thanks for your input and making me feel that its actually not that bad :)

There are arrows on the sides of the fans that indicate rotation and airflow direction.

As a general rule of thumb, the sticker on the fan will point in the same direction as the air will move.

I'd switch the back fan to exhaust if your front fan is also an intake. See my above post for more information on determining that.

As long as the OP gets a FE or reference Nvidia card, it'll fit in with the RGB standard of the day.

I agree, I'm somewhat regretting getting red and blue for my rig.

Might replace them with blue down the road and use my red fans for something else.

Looks good though, as @Jurrunio said, there are a lot of worse first time builds.

I'd rate it a solid 9.5/10.

.5 point loss due to the board size, not a big deal but a bit of a problem with aesthetics.

The saddest part is when I just looked at this board for $5 more you could have got a full size board. But again as I saw it about a year ago. It was $5 so I was like why not go with the cheaper one. I'm paying for it now

Oh man, that hurts.

I could have saved 15 or so on my board by getting the mATX, but I was adamant about getting an ATX since mATX boards are so cramped.
