So i just bought the Intel Compaq 6200, it has a core i5 2400 3.1 GHz a WD standard 500 gb harddrive and 4gb ram, and i put in a Samsung Evo 850 250 gb ssd and geforce gt 610, but that card is sh!t so i want to buy a new one.

I found this one: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/719179/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-oc-low-profile-4g.html

and i want to know if that will fit and work with this pc so it doesnt get any problems with the PSU

Please help me

that card its self has a power consumption of 75w and that desktop has a 240w PSU with a 90% efficiency that is a maximum reliable supply of 216w

the CPU uses - 75w - 142w depending on the load, now excluding everything else that only leaves 74w so the psu probably will not be strong enough to power the GPU along with the rest of the setup at full load

i hope that makes sense

it should work, but get another 4gb of ram to go with it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

still it has to power the storage, fans, motherboard and ram, and being a prebuild semi cheap desktop they probably were not planning for it to be used with a GPU. like yes it will work but when you decide to run the computer at full load the PSU won't be able to supply the needed power and you will run into problems

without overclocking, but normally only one will be full load at any point in time (when playing games mine sits at 46% cpu load and 85% GPU unless its an extremely demanding game)

yes it will run, but it may not be as good as you would like it to be especially if they both want to run at high loads
