Goal of the Build: This is my first build, so the goal was to have a gaming rig which can let me game at 1080p max settings but which is still modern and powerful enough to game for years to come without needing upgrades like a year down the line. So below is the link to the PC part picker page with all the details and below the link is my justification for why I chose each part.

Specs:

CPU: I chose the AMD Ryzen 5 2600X because it seems reliable and a breeze to install. Plus thanks to the 6 cores on it there isn't a huge need to upgrade later down the line so I'll be well off in terms of CPU power, plus I only do like mild video editing for school projects and I don't stream so its not like I need a very beefy CPU meant for huge amounts of multi-tasking

Motherboard: Very simple reasons why I chose this, its not over-expensive, it has everything I need and yet still has some room to upgrade like add more RAM, so this for the price seems like a good deal and makes me pretty future proof

RAM: I just went for the standard 2 sticks of 4gb of RAM each setup which is classic. Even though newer triple A games have demanded more RAM than ever before and more VRAM I think this is plenty for now

Storage: For this I went for a hard drive and SSD combo, so OS on SSD and most documents on the hard drive, like school essays. If down the line I need more memory that's not a huge worry cause I have a decent stack of hard drives from old computers which still function perfectly

GPU: The GTX 1070ti is just a great card, don't know if they are better versions of the card compared to the EVGA version, but really this is enough power for quite awhile until I'll need to upgrade.

Case: Cooler Master is a great company with some damn good cases, so I chose this one cause it's from a reliable company and rather inexpensive for what I'm getting

Power Supply: Enough to feed the system with plenty of power and plus you really can't go wrong with Corsair Bronze Certified power supplies, its not too expensive and should work fantastically

i would reccomend 2x8 sticks of ram, as even when i build pcs for friends that have a 800$ budget, i included 16gb of ram. also consider getting corsair 80+ Gold PSUs like the TX550/650M, as they are tier 2 on the tier list.
