GPU Buzzing with EK backplate?

I recently bought a new EK silver backplate for my EVGA 1080ti, and any time it is even close to the gpu, there is a loud buzzing noise that kind of sound like coil whine. There is very slight coil whine without the backplate, but it is much worse with it on. I have the GPU in a custom loop with a EK Titan Xp waterblock. Any suggestions for removing the noise? I have tried reinstalling the block with no change

Are you certain that it's the backplate? I only heard it's because of the waterblock itself.

the buzzing is pretty quiet without the backplate. If I bring the backplate near the card I can immediately hear a very loud buzzing noise. I am pretty sure it is the backplate

even with the backplate screwed down and thermal pads between the card and backplate?
Really weird... I mean I got coil whine as well, but never compared it without the EK backplate.
