Hi everyone,

I am thinking of upgrading some parts on my current PC, specifically the CPU, the GPU and the Monitor.

System:

Coolermaster CM 690 Case

Eneramx Modu+82 II 625 Watt

LG 19" TFT Monitor 1280*1024 resolution

MSI P67A-C73 (B3 Stepping)

Core i3 2100 Cpu

MSI GTX 460 1GB

8 Gigs Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600

Logitech G400 Gaming Mouse

I want to buy a core i5 3570k, an HD 7870 and an LG 23" IPS 1080p monitor. As far as the cpu is concerned i have a slight concern. My mobo is not a z77 chipset, but i have updated the bios from the official msi website to the latest one ion order to support the ivy bridge processors.

I only play BF3 and eventually BF4. With my current system i can play on low at 1280*1024 with 55-60ish fps

I also want to buy a mechanical keyboard because my crappy microsoft is almost dead.

I am all ears and would like some feedback from you guys. I don't want to rush things.

Thank you all in advance.

Misleading title is misleading :/ if your motherboard doesn't support overclocking then don't bother with a k edition CPU

I am under the impression that only z77 chipsets allow overclocking

CPU: I7-3770K @ 4.5GHz 1.24V CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i in Pull Ram: 2x8GB 1600MHz Mobo: MSI Z77A GD65 SSD's: 128GB Samsung 840 Pro HD's: Hitachi 1TB & Seagate 3TB Case: Fractal Define R4 Pearl Black Window Edition GPU: Msi 660ti 3gb TF3 Optical: LG DVD-RW OS: Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit

The motherboard you're using is a p67, which I belive doesn't support overclocking on ivy-bridge CPU's. I'd recommend you buy the 3570 non k edition which is the same chip as the 3570k but without overclocking, and cost less ;)
