My PSU is a Seasonic s12 520w bronze and it has a 1 cable of PCIE but splitted into 2 8pins. I have a Gtx 1060 as main gpu and a 960 for mining. The 960 is using mining risers cause my Mobo has only 1 16x pcie slot and the other is a 1x.

Since the 960 is outside the case, I need to do a molex adapter to PCIE so I can power it because the main PCIE cable is too short. It ran fine but I had some overclocking issues and I thought its the molex (turns out it isnt). So I do some ghetto mods. I bought a 16x riser for my 1060 so I can also put it outside the case so the PCIE cable can reach both of my cards. It works! But the 960 is getting reduced hashrate on some algorithms.

HERES THE MAIN QUESTION:

Does sharing 2 gpus in 1 pcie cable result to power issues??

Would be real easy to check. Monitor the cards correctly in both scenarios and see what they are doing. Also can’t update the miner or algo’s as that all varies. Need a constant to test that kinda stuff.
