Need help with amd socket.

Hello,

Im quite new to building computers and stuff and would need some support, I have a 960gm-vgs3 fx (dont know if im right) motherboard and can get a Corsair H115i for a great deal. I can't seem to figure out if thoes two are compatible. Thanks.

The H115i should come with an AM3 bracket. This is what you need.

Yeah it does say that but the holes to insert the pump seem to be too big for the included screws.

There should be some sort of other plastic or metal mounting hardware that you can use to screw things into . What about the square mounting bracket that came with the board ? What does the manual say (RTFM)?

As @Coaxialgamer said, there should be a bracket that goes behind the motherboard. I suggest watching a video on installation or reading the manual before proceeding. Take minutes to read/watch vs the seconds it could take to fry your chip and board.
