Which one should i get? whats the main difference

the main difference is, that the ultimate is backlit, the xt isn't. also the design differs quite a bit.

Edit: some minor differences also are: NKRO only via PS/2 on the xt and the usb cable is gold-plated on the ultimate. But those are really nothing to be concerned about.

If you don't care about backlighting, definetly go for the xt then.
