Nvidia Driver Installation?

Recently bought a 1060 FE, when installing the driver the Nvidia driver installer said it didn't recognize the card. After that I reopened the installer again and my screen flashed twice then installed fine with the card working as it should. Is this a normal installation?

Hey, if it works, it works. Flashing screen is normal though, that's the drivers kicking in.

Windows may have been messing with its own driver install at the moment you were initiating your install. I had a problem similar the other day so I let Windows complete its own driver install then restarted and completed the Nvidia driver package install.

The screen will always flash a couple times when installing drivers.

If everything is working normally, I wouldn't worry at all.

As @nick name said, it's possible that Windows was trying to load its own driver.
