im planning to upgrade my computer. here are the specs

CPU: AMD FX-8320

Motherboard: MSI 760 GMA-P34 FX

RAM: 4 Gb DDR3 IBP

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB GDDR5

Case: NZXT Phantom 410

Storage: 500GB WD Blue

PSU: 300W(dont know the brand its really weird)

and a bunch of NZXT fans of different sizes.

as you can see my problem is the very bad GPU. its gotta go. iv got 340$. im paying $69.99 for a Corsair CX600 600w PSU.

that leaves me $270 for a good graphics card. so my question is. is there a card i can buy for around that price that will play good games. like GTA 5(when it comes out), skyrim, bf4, cod ghosts, stuff like that and maybe some other games if they come out for pc like destiny, mgs, titanfall and stuff like that.

Game On :)

i was thinking that or the ASUS Radeon HD 7870 but i guess ill pick whatever has the best power and with the GTX 760 i can get that to match my pc easier than a 7870

you don't need a 600w psu, a 500w psu will be enough and try to get a 280x or a 270

AMD Athlon X4 750k; Gigabyte F2A88XM-DS2; 8Gb Corsair XMS 1600 Mhz; AMD Hd5670 1Gb DDR3; Bequiet E6-600W; W7 Ultimate x64

I personally would go with the gtx 760, as it is cheaper right now and performs a tiny bit better.

Guess AMD's pricing is in sky heights right now in comparison to nvidia.

Edit: Ok nvm overall 7950 and 760 perform pretty much the same, in some cases the 7950 performs better and in some the 760. So all in all it depends on your preference i would say. But still you get pretty much the same performance for less money if you go 760.

well im on a price limit. and im trying to find the best card you can buy with 270$

so out of these whats the best. 270, gtx 760, or 7870

The 270 is just a 7870 rebrand. The 760 is the best of the 3. The 7950 is even better if you can find one.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

well i was told overclocked 7870s match 7950s so thats why i had thought about it. what kind of settings can 7950 play skyrim, AC4, and bf4 in?

I did now, they perform very close to each other, 760 still costs ~20$-30$ less.
