I need help with making a build that would be able to run most games on high or ultra setting and then when needed run rainbow six siege at 144hz at medium to high settings.

i Just need the computer no monitor or mouse and keyboard already have that

 my budget is $2000-2200AUD

Could have gone for 8600k + 1080ti (with edges cut elsewhere), but since next gen cards are gonna come soon and Pascal cards will lose some value shortly, might as well get the card that can do the job while having less value to lose in the first place.

Could have gone for 8600k + 1080ti (with edges cut elsewhere), but since next gen cards are gonna come soon and Pascal cards will lose some value shortly, might as well get the card that can do the job while having less value to lose in the first place.

overkill for 1080p 144hz, a 1080 would be more than enough.

Ah ok, i was going to doo what a friend of mine does and use the ssd for one game and then just changes the games around when it starts playing others more

there's no point in getting NVME SSDs over sata SSDs for just gaming when they're more expensive, but that's moot when the SX6000 is cheaper than an MX500 and 860 evo.
