You might have to mess around with what's taking up your RAM in the background.

hii guys im having some problems with ram and its impacting my pc

my graphics is AMD RX560

and i use 4+4 GB ram 2666 mhz

The iGPU is probably just holding 1GB of RAM in reserve, go into the BIOS and set it's VRAM to like 64MB, or just disable it.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

It's reserved for your GPU as it's built into the Ryzen chip, unlike add in PCI-e GPUs where its GPU memory would be on the card itself. ~ 1GB seems about right.

@BlueChinchillaEatingDorito it says 2.8 in use but where? I only use 1gb and avaiable 4.1 so where is the rest ?

Windows itself will take up maybe 1 GB of memory. So if you add it all up, that seems pretty normal.

~1GB for Chrome, ~1GB for Windows, ~1.1GB reserved for video memory + other I/O devices... so roughly 4.1GB available sounds about right.

If you open Resource Monitor, you'll get a much clearer picture of allocated memory.

@Streetguru how can i check my VRAM? sorry for stupid questions guys im really not so good at using PC o

It'll be listed as Hardware Reserve. Of course, it'll be mixed in with other stuff memory is reserved for like sound cards, and other I/O devices which is probably why it's not exactly 1GB.

On a "normal" system with no integrated graphics the hardware reserved amount is usually 20-60mb.  1.1gb sounds a lot like 1gb integrated graphics memory + normal reserved amount.

It is as he's using the Ryzen 5 2400G APU. Already mentioned it in earlier posts!

@Streetguru i just watched your video and set it up my ram is 7.89 usable but still im having some hard fps drops in video games for some reason

Open Gpu-Z and CPU-Z and run a game windowed to see what your hardware is doing.

Did you put the new GPU in without uninstalling the drivers with DDU?

Are you having issues in every game? Did it only happen after you changed the reserved VRAM?

Try a different or older driver maybe. You could be having some strange conflict with the iGPU, see if you can disable it immediately.
