Hello. We are going to open a new ice cream shop. We would like to add a loyalty program for our customers, the kind where you get points for each purchase or visit and then get free products after a number of visits or a quantity of points.

What would be a good local software for this? Not like those internet based programs, but rather something more local, as it probably won't have internet connection.

I would like to give cards, but codes or barcodes could also work. Any ideas?

Edit: I know you said software but outside of internet-connected apps, I'm not sure it can be easily done.

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for so I'm gonna list what I've seen businesses doing around where I am.

This is what I've seen about Loyalty/Reward solutions around here:

  • Paper Cards which are stamped each time a customer buys something and then they get the 10th item for free - Admittedly this is more geared towards coffee shops but I think it could also work for Ice Cream
  • Discounts if a customer has a certain loyalty card - E.g. Co-op Food stores give 10% discount off Co-op products for NUS Extra Card holders.
  • Some stores print coupons on the back of their receipt - Some others physically give coupons to the customer in addition to the receipt.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I was thinking about offline solutions because there will be no internet connection where the shop will be located, which makes it difficult. Additionally, we've seen in the past some people stamp the cards themselves just to get free stuff, which could be solved with a particular type of stamp (this is easy to do, but still not 'techie' enough).
