What to get...

cjeffcoatjr

So Its after Christmas and I have money! I've $250 to spend on anything tech-related (what else would I buy?). Steam sale is out of the question as I do not want any more games, and I was looking at a new monitor and a Mechanical Keyboard and mouse or some nice over-ear closed headphones. Product suggestions? I would like to keep it at 1080p for the monitor (I run a 7870) and MX Browns for the keyboard. I will not be upgrading any of the hardware, as I am perfectly happy with it. Currently I have a Westinghouse 1440x900 TN Panel, A Microsoft wireless mouse+keyboard, and Turtle Beach X12's. I play FPS's, MMO-RPG's, and RPG's.

Edit: Picked out a monitor-Acer H226HQLbid. This leaves me with $125 for other stuff. What would you get with it?

I'd say keyboard and mouse if your current set up isn't good.

Are you using a TN currently? Go ahead and buy yourself a cheap IPS/PLS monitor!

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Definitely get yourself an IPS/PLS monitor. You'll never go back to TN after you make the purchase.

Would the Acer h226hqlbid be a good choice?

Yup. That is an excellent monitor for the price.
