So I have kind of dumb question,  Does running a freesync monitor at say 144 hz with a Nvidia card negate tearing?  Basically  my question is if your fps is lower then your refresh rate what problems will you experience?   Just shopping for a monitor and wondering if Gysync is worth the extra $$$.

As @WereCat said, Nvidia GPUs can't take advantage of FreeSync.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I guess I should have said using a free sync monitor with free sync off but running it at a high refresh rate.   Overclocked to 144 hz.

It will work just like a normal 144 Hz non-FreeSync monitor.
