I'll be getting an iPhone 6s soon and intend to charge it at my computer a lot (using an amazon basics lighting to usb cable) and am wondering if this will be as fast as the charger that comes with it. If I remember correctly the amperage of the stock charger is 1.0 amp and I believe usb 3.0 can deliver a maximum of 0.9 amps but in practice this may not make much of a difference in charging speed. Can anyone with experience confirm or deny this?

From experience it is going to be slower.

Why are you grabbing an Iphone 6s and not like a Nokia 6.1/6 or Nokia 7 pluss? Its more value for money

Also check if it is USB 3.1 which can deliver 5 amps. Not that it matters as i think the Iphones dont support fast charging untill like the newest models

I got a good deal on the 6s and my carrier doesn't have much aside from Apple so a Nokia phone isn't an option (they have maybe 6 or 7 android phones total). I do have a USB 3.1 type A and a usb c port as well on my motherboard but you're correct that the 6s doesn't have fast charging.
