Need help finding a Gaming PC

I need help to find the best specifications possible for my future gaming PC, I am planning to spend up to five hundred pounds on the components. I want the PC to easily handle games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty, I also want the PC to efficiently run games such as CSGO with a very high FPS at max settings. I don't mind if the components are second hand or new, as long as they're working fine. As I said, my budget is £500 and I want it to be able to run virtually every game on steam, including the high demanding games like PUBG.

check local markets, no idea what they are but something along these lines should align up with $500

i7 4790k / i7 4770k

GTX 970 / something along those lines

2x4GB DDR3 / 1x8GB, more is preferred but budget for now

Z97 or Z77 motherboard / H77/H97 ok if you don't plan on overclocking or get a stock chip (no K at the end)

used HDD/SSD

it would be preferable if you bought storage new, but since only 500 pounds that is ok, you can get new storage later for cheap (1TB WD Blue only $50 CAD, 250GB 860 Evo only ~$110 CAD also)

if you need a decent kb/m, I would heavily recommend buying something new, I have experience with the coolermaster devastator 2 kb/m combo and it's quite good IMO, but that was before the LTT cheap kb and mouse roundup, so I don't know if it is still good value today

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

500 pounds is a small budget. Considering todays gpu prices. I would recommend a gtx 1060. (Note- PUBG is very badly optimized. I have dual 1080s atm and i get 120 fps.)

Do not get coffee lake. Extra cores don't do much. Plus the motherboards for coffee lake are expensive.

Thanks for help, I will check out the similar specs on local markets.

Ye I know, I may consider increasing the budget.

thinking over this, if you can get something like a 980ti shoved in there, that would be much nicer, since 970 is ~100-120 GBP

you should a tiny bit to get into that super nice price/performance area, slightly more for a better GPU (970 to 980ti) and enough to get a new hdd, new kb/m, decent IPS monitor, because now you've got a decent PC for 500 but just subpar monitor/kb/m

kb don't worry if you're gaming a lot, just worry if you type a bit, mouse is just more comfy also when not gaming (aside from sensor issues if it's a shit sensor), but monitor is important gaming or anything else

RAM and GPu prices are still inflated hence why its a tad over £500, 2x4 GB RAm should be aroudn half the price it currently is, but this build should suit you well. All brand new components.

If you do go second hand im sure you could find somthing that would easily out peform this, but thats down to you to search :)
