Even a heavily overclocked GTX 1080 can't beat a 1080 Ti.

If you're not getting the framerate you want with a 1080, then go for the 1080 Ti

If your playing in 1080p it's not worth it. The ti is basically for 1440/4k higher frames. If your running 4k and not satisfied I'd try and wait a bit for possible new stuff.
