Low fps with 1070

So my 1070 is really really laggy in game like gta v i have like 40-50 fps medium graphics, Is it because of my cpu i have a i5 7500 ?

If you guys have an suggestions or tips let me know. Btw i have bad fps in most games so its not like its gta v

What resolution are you running your games at? FWI an i5 7500 is a good CPU its,

not the problem.

Also what is your 1070 Clocked at?

Take a look back at the settings of GTA 5.

MSAA should not be over 4x.

Also gras quality is very demanding for my 1070.

 

Edit: How much Ram do you have?

8gb should be enough. Any less and the game is rip... (my experience)

Don't think it's the CPU.  Did you try reinstalling your video drivers via DDU?  How is your GPU usage in game?

Gpu usage is not much ingame my res is 1440x900 i have 16 gb of ram and my grass is on ultra which might be the case. And i havent done any overclocking.

lower grass to high and turn off all the advanced settings...and see how it goes from there.
