Hi guys,

I'm planning to build a gaming PC and I'm hoping I'll get some sweet deals on 4th of July. Can you please suggest me a few builds. Also some guidance about whether I should go for Intel or AMD cpu.

1. Budget and Location:

A: I have a budget of around 1600 USD, This budget is just for the tower. I can go a little more than that if I'm getting significant performance boost. Location: United States

2. Aim:

A: I want to play AAA titles on high/ultra. Apart from that I'll be planning on using the PC for coding (No deep learning/ ML ).

3. Monitor:

A: I already have a gaming monitor: https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2716dg/apd/210-agjr/monitors-monitor-accessories got this one essentially for just $250 during Memorial day sale. It's 27" 144Hz 1440p Gsync monitor. I'm hoping to build something that can run all games near 144Hz.

4. Peripherals:

A: I got a $100 from Dell while purchasing the monitor so I'd like if I can buy some of the tower components from Dell. If not I'm planning to use that gift card to get a new mouse/headphones not that they need an upgrade. I have a good keyboard as well.

Other considerations:

I am aware that nVidia is probably releasing new GPU in August hence I wanted to buy an EVGA card so that I can use step up program to 1180 when it comes out. Your thoughts on this? I'm hoping I can squeeze in a 1080Ti in the budget.

I'll answer any questions if I get time during work or when I come back from work.

Thanks in advance.

Great build, but if you want to get a m.2 ssd, you could b360 mobo (since you cant overclock)

Getting an M.2 SSD would not really give any benefits. Except for saving one SATA cable, and possibly a power cable. With a B360 board you're stuck with the memory at maximum 2666MHz, which will hurt the performance by a few percent. The extra performance is greater than the price difference.
