Sound Not Working

Hi guys,

 

I recently built my pc with Windows 10 and it was working perfectly a few hours ago, but once I shut it down and opened it up again, the sound stopped working. My monitor doesn't have in-built speakers, so I usually use mini desktop speakers or headphones, but the problem is, that once I plug them in, it doesn't detect them and there is just no audio coming out of it.

 

I downloaded all drivers for my motherboard and here are my specs,

 

i7-8700, MSI B360 Arctic, MSI GTX 1060 6GB X Gaming, ThermalLake 750w 80+ Bronze RGB, Corsair Spec-Omega

 

If I could get this issue fixed I would be incredibly happy, thanks.

Try a restart instead of shutdown and powering it back up again, that may fix it, if not go to device manager, and see if there is a sound device with a yellow triangle sign, and uninstall the drivers for the sound device and reboot the pc again. This may fix it, let me know if it doesn't work. Hope this helps
