G-sync question

I'm thinking of getting a G-sync monitor soon. One is 1080p with a VA panel, 144hz, curved with G-sync and the other is 1440p with an IPS panel, 165hz with G-sync. I have a gtx 1070. The question i have is if i were to have G-sync enabled and my game is running below the refresh rate, are there any side affects like with V-sync?

are you going to be using both monitors in game?

if not then only get gsync on the main monitor otherwise it seems like a waste of $

Not gonna use both monitors. I just can't find an answer in regards to if using gsync while getting framerates below the refresh rate will result in stutter ect like with vsync

gsync should have no tearing, stutter would still exist as the monitor displays the frames exactly as the GPU outputs them

tearing is the monitor

stuttering in the PC not outputting frames  (or a bad link between the 2)

gsync is made for lower fps games, vsync is something else, but in both some lag might be present ( vsync most laggy)
