get an 8700k instead of the 7700k and  an SSD. why a founder's edition gtx 1080?

Dont get a 7700k. Get the 8700k. Also, dont get a B series Motherboard with a K series CPU. You cant overclock a K series CPU without a Z series Board. If you dont want to overclock, then get a NON K series CPU. Dont get the WD Purple drive. Its not intended for your use case. Get a WD Blue or Black or Seagate Barracuda instead. The DRP3 is a very tough cooler to install. I would recommend getting either the DRP4 or an alternate like the Noctua NH-D15 or Cyrorig R1 Ultimate/Universal. Rest looks fine.

This might be a dumb question but can you run a hard drive and ssd in raid?
