Just rebuilt my old machine with the replacement chip. All is good, i put in the driver disk told it to do default then promptly cried as i saw it install a load of bloatware.

What are the minimal drivers you need to run the mother board?

IS it the same for all motherboards?

If not i could use advice for both the ASRock H61M-GS and the Gigabyte Z77-D3H

Many thanks.

As a side note the 2nd hand Z77-D3H posted and i need to find drivers for it hence the above :)

Thanks :-) thought that might be it, just seeing the driver install nortons antivirus and somekind of zynga bar

Don't install them from the software suite off the CD that came with the motherboard.
Go to the motherboard website and download them individually (on another computer and copy to USB drive if needed) .
You will be able to select which drivers you want and you won't get it bundled with all the bloat you don't need, and you will also get the latest versions. If you install off the CD then chances are you will need to update them anyway - The drivers on an install CD for a Z77 board are going to be several years out of date.
