Pixel XL Battery Life

Woah Boy

So after being recommended to buy a pixel (thanks for that btw great device) I've noticed that the battery drains slightly fast, usually I'm working so my phone is in my pocket on vibrate doing nothing, no Bluetooth on, only wifi, I can get off and my pixel will be at 80% with no use except the little I do before work, my old phone (Moto g5s plus) was around 92% with the same usage, now I'm wondering if this is just me being paranoid or do I have a battery problem? Also if it matters I keep NFC on all the time

Do you have any battery draining apps?

Also try to turn nfc off, and see if that helps.

IG can be power hungry, with my experience.

Also on an OG Pixel XL. Oh the screen also!

You can try the Android P beta, or wait for the official rollout. This might help with app-draining issues, as it is said to hibernate the ones you use less often. I am not sure if it has any actual effect though.

Switched to the beta and battery life estimate went from 17 hours to 1 day 3 hours, I believe Oreo was the culprit

Woah @Woah Boy, I'm gonna do so right away!

I have a question though:

I played with DP1 for a day and then rolled back to Oreo and lost all data because the rollback came with a factory reset as a bonus :/

So, after the official Android P rollout, if I want to opt out of the beta stream, will my phone be wiped clean again?

Any quick thoughts on that? (Since it's kinda off topic)
