Everything looks half way decent except the power supply. I would get a better one that has proper voltage regulation.

I'd rather sacrifice a bit of performance now for a much better starting point for future upgrades.

Swapped out (changed without spending extra): Mobo (MSI one just isnt as good, with worse power delivery but cost more because it's physically bigger).

Sacrificed: Graphics card, use the Vega 8 integrated graphics instead. new games should run at 1080p with minimum graphics, or 720p at medium to high settings.

HDD: You can add this one in later, just plug in and format it. No need to reinstall OS just to change the boot drive.

Gained: A PSU that can hold a lot more upgrades and is much better built (or rather, the EVGA 400w 80+ is poorly built).

1080p IPS monitor: Cheap TN look really bad. Color sucks, viewing angle sucks, like everything but the price sucks

High frequency memory: All Ryzen CPUs benefit from high bandwidth memory. High frequency = high bandwidth.

500GB SSD: Anything you'd want in your boot drive will fit in, maybe a couple of smaller games as well.

Good case: Airflow, space for mounting radiators, big air coolers etc. You can practically use the same case forever, so I wont save money here.
