Dark Rock 2 question ?

Sorry what is pwn control ?

its a 4-pin fan connector which gives you voltage control in the 3rd and rpm monitoring in the 4th pin, you will loose the 4th if you use the extension, nothing serious :)

if it is the fan that is in the way, just put it on the other side but as it looks you can only rotate the cooler 180, which shouldn't help, and yes you can use the 3-pin extension though you will not have PWN control :)

Yeah so I got a dark rock 2 today and the ram is in the way, could I rotate it and the back fan to draw air in through it and would anyone think that it would be good cooling ? oh and can I use a 3 pin extension on a cpu fan?

You'll have to just mount the fan a few fins higher, that's what i did with mine. I have Corsair Vengeance pro memory on a MSI GD 65 gaming. I had to put the fan up by 4 fins in height.

Slaping the fan on the back won't work as said above, because you'd have to turn the cooler around by 180 degrees. But i wouldn't really recommend that. The fan that's on there isn't any good in a pull configuration! Lastly be careful when you remount the fan, the brackets are extremeley tight and the fins are freaking sharp!

who cares...
