My new pc

jannette22

Note that: it was my first time I build a pc...

Linus!! in case you read this (that I hardly doubt it) I LOVE you.

after 2 weeks video and forums reviews.

I finally finished my new pc. (wayyy out of my initially 750 euros budget to 2.100 euros)

CPU: I7-8700 (non-k) (380eu)

MOB: gigabyte z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming (160eu)

RAM:16gb G.Skill Z trident DDR4 3200mhz 2x8gb (200eu)

PSU: Seasonic prime gold 750watts (150eu)

GPU: gigabyte gtx 1070 8GB (460eu)

SSD boot: evo 850 250gb (75eu)

ssd game: evo 850 500gb (140eu)

enclouser: Thermaltake view 27 (77eu)

Sound Card: Sound Blaster Z 5,2 (90eu)

Water cooling: Corsair h110i (150eu)

Intel Optane 32gb: (I got it for free)

Kaybouard: Razer Ornata chroma (99eu)

mousepad: Razer firefly (50eu)

Wifi: 3,0 alfa network  AWUS036ACH (60eu)

Why I decide to buy those parts:

Gtx 1070. originally my graphic card budget was 250 euros (rx 480). then I took into consideration that I might in the future try out  virtual reality, then I upgrade it to a gtx 1060. (bought it)

then I sent it back and finally done a last upgrade to the gtx 1070 just to make sure I will run most vr games. and the gtx 1080 was out of my range.

yes Linus, I saw your video too late, for the same price (460euros) I could have bought a gtx 1070 Ti founders edition.  (sad face)...

i7-8700: why non K? well, the 80 euros difference for it in my opinion doesnt worth the price, since im not going to overclock anything... im not a compulsive player, most like casual one. why not i5 8600k? well, the price was just 60 euros less than my i7-8700.

water cooling: Ok, most people been saying that my h110i is overkill.... specially since Im not going to do any overclocking.. first of all, I just wanted a watercooling system just for the esthetic.  my enclousers just came with cooler (back one) and in order to help with the air flow I need 2 more in the front panel, and my double 140mm radiator with coolers helps on that !. My idle CPU temp is 28C and goes to 55C under stress.. take that!

Wifi antena: My z370 ultra gaming doesnt comes with wifi antena, I knew it. instead I bought an external one because my router is 2 floors down and I really need a pro wifi antena to get good signal. it works like a charm.

I have attach some pictures. Like I said it before, I have sent back the gtx 1060  then bought a 1070, so you wont see it on some pictures because I took them on the first day. (just the sound card)

Awesome build :D

I would have skipped on the sound card myself but im sure you will have a lot of joy with that PC!

You can use the Intel Optane as normal storage or you can use it to speed up old mechanical harddrives.

Veel plezier ervan! :D

You need to move your graphics card to the top slot to get the best performance out of it.  The top slot is the 16x slot.  If you cant due to the tubes from the aio being in the way, you can flip your radiator so that the tubes are up top and out of the way of the graphics card :)

I would also like to add that even though you did not buy a Intel i7 K cpu, you might still be able to undervolt your i7. That might reduce your power bill a little :)

Looks pretty good, my main question is if you're not OCing why not a cheaper 120mm or 140mm water cooler and an h370 board instead?

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

looks awesome!

Insanity is not the absence of sanity, but the willingness to ignore it for a purpose. Chaos is the result of this choice. I relish in both.

well the sound card is using 1x pci lane. so the graphic card either way is just geting 8x lanes max.
