  1. 1. Is my GTX 670 dead

    • Yes

    • No

    • Just test 1 or two more things and then that'll clear more than half the probability.

When I open starcraft it says that my VRAM is insiffucient and gone.

My gpu no longer appears on open hardware monitor.

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Try reinstalling drivers. Half the time its just nvidia drivers having a shit fit.

Thanks. I changed the 6pin power slots on the modular PSU. I also changed the PCI lane. It still has the same problem. However, I am now reinstalling the drivers.

edit: it said the best drivers are already installing after finishing downloading.

seeing as you have been having USB ports 'dying' last month and seem to have started to 'work' again after a driver reinstall, now your GPU is 'lost' sounds more than driver issues. last time an OS install was?

the USB ports are as dead as before. Driver reinstall/unisntll/rollback/update/install made no difference.

Atleast since 1 year after windows 10 came around.

I'm installing an older driver now since reinstalling the old driver didn't do anything.

This is both after 'uninstalling' the device.

It is Windows 10... so you could try a clean install. Back up your stuff first.

But my gut says its a hardware issue, specifically the motherboard. If there is another computer available that you can test the GPU in I would do that.

I might just be back after the last few years because Spez is an idiot and I'm making a point to start staying away from Reddit.

yeah but its power supply isn't strong enough and I don't want to blow it. So there's no convenient option

I doubt anyone will let me test it for free on a new mobo lol

Hey, I think my graphic card is dead. It suddenly died during a light workload (SC2).

Reinstalling the driver, trying a different PCI slot or using different 6pin power slots didn't fix it. I tried an old driver and it gave a sign of life (in that the fans stopped backwards spinning), the screen went black, then after a while, the computer showed a badly rendered error screen. The igpu works fine.

The igpu sends the hdmi signal off of the dedicated GPU. the gpu will identify itself on the device manager but otherwise give an error. Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

It's 6 years old.
