I am trying to just get the most bang for my buck I have always used intel and nvidia but they are becoming more and more expensive right now I have a an older core I5 only running at 3.30 mhz

What you do is purchase the best GPU model in your price range. Sometimes it's AMD, sometimes it's Nvidia. You don't start with the IHV.
