Which one should I pick?

Go to solution Solved by genexis_x,

You missed out some options:

1. N950TP (CFL-H desktop, i5 8400+1070)

2. P950EP (CFL-H) - thin and light

3. Dell G5 (CFL-H) - entry level IPS (FHD)

4. Alienware 13 (7700HQ+1060, on sale)

5. Dell G3 (CFL-H) - entry level IPS, OKish cooling (need undervolting, repaste and optional modding)

6. Dell Vostro 7570 (Inspiron 7577, 7700HQ+1060MQ)

7. Lenovo Y720 - entry level IPS, may need repaste, quite bulky

8. N850/870EP6 (CFL-H) - OKish overall quality, mediocre cooling (need undervolting, repaste and some modding)

I suggest upgrade RAM/storage yourself, usually cheaper. Max-Q 1060 usually can be tuned to match a regular 1060N. Every laptop needs undervolting IMO

Hey!

just having a hard time picking and not sure what's really important at this day and age :|

I have either this; https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-laptops/new-inspiron-15-7000-gaming-red/spd/inspiron-15-7577-laptop/a511070au , for about AU$1350

Or

https://www.metabox.com.au/store/b244/Metabox-Alpha-X-N870EP-Laptop - + Slim Line 7200 RPM 1TB HD , + Windows 10 Home , for about AU$1950

OR OR OR

https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GL62MVR-7RFX.html - about AU$1800

I'm really not sure if I7 8750 is worth the huge spike in price?

Money isn't really the problem here - but i wouldn't like to pay for something I wouldn't notice different.

Any insight? :(

Avoid MSI GL series. N870 and Dell 7577 also have their own issues.

What's your usage and what are your requirements? Any range on budget?

Mainly gaming and casual use , browsing media whatnot.

I'd like it to be 15"+ , 1060 atleast , not interested in 1050ti- , I'd like it to stay below AU$2,000 , I've got a proper desktop , this is just for travel purposes , gonna be away for 5-6 months.

I've already checked many, many options - on many different sites.

Also have;

https://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234979

it sums up at 1750

Thanks :P
