Gaming headset help

Go to solution Solved by Church1540,

I've have both audio technica m50x's and the hyper x cloud 2's. The cloud 2's mic is super quiet and really hard to get working, at least for me. Ive been through multiple computers with that mic and its never worked good on any of them. Currently i use m50x's with a razer(i know) streaming mic stood on my desk. It works flawlessly and after tuning it, it sounds good and doesn't even pick up my keyboard. If you can get a modmic 5 or a usb mic. I hate gaming headset mics because they never sound good, they always do bare minimum sound quality.

I need some quick advice, I have Audio-Technica ath m50x's (I have been happy with what its been doing for me) and have been using a cheap mic which recently broke. I am considering getting either a mod mic 5, a USB mic, a cheap Behringer audio interface and a cheap xlr mic or a complete headset, currently, for a good price, I can get the Hyper x cloud 2's or the Logitech g pro. What recommendations do you have?

@Church1540 thanks, I think I will go with the modmic as for moving around the place it is easier than having to carry around another headset or an xlr mic + audio interface and I really like the ATH M50x's whilst gaming I manage to pinpoint sounds better than teammates with gaming headsets so I will stick with what I got to avoid disappointment
